Today I just wanted to remind you that slow progress is better than eternal plans. By that I mean, I know how easy it is to get stuck in trying to get things to come together just right. So much so that nothing gets done. It reminds me of deciding to have a second child. On the one hand, we wanted to grow our family. On the other hand, it would have been nice for things to look a certain way financially speaking. Had we waited for everything to be just right, we still wouldn’t have my youngest who’s now three.
I think it’s great to come up with a plan so you have an idea of the route you want to take and the steps you ned to take to get there. Just don’t let that plan become a delay if you can’t move forward without things being accounted for and going according to the plan. Sometimes you just have to be willing to move forward and figure it out along the way. I’m not saying to go about life without a care in the world but there’s balance in all things. Learn to find the balance between having a plan and moving forward and not being able to move forward until everything is planned. Things rarely go exactly as we plan anyway so it’s good to have a sense of flexibility and be willing to follow the path as it unfolds.
Sending lots of love your way,
